How to Print Crafty Josh Coloring Pages (FAQ)
All Crafty Josh coloring pages are available as free downloadable PDF files in US Letter (8.5 × 11 inches) and A4 sizes. Follow the steps below to print the best quality version for your home or classroom.
How do I download a coloring page?
- Find the coloring page that you are interested in downloading and printing. If you want, you can click the magnifying glass in the top right of any image to see a larger preview. For some images, there is also a color palette icon where you can preview a color example.
- Tap on the download/print button at the bottom of your chosen image
- Choose your preferred paper size (US Letter or A4).
- Once you have selected your paper size the PDF download should start automatically and then be available for you to print or share as a PDF file.
Tip: Save the file first before printing. Printing directly from the browser preview can sometimes reduce quality.
How do I print the PDF?
- Open the downloaded PDF file.
- Click File > Print (or press Ctrl+P / Command+P).
- Select your printer.
- Make sure the paper size matches the file you downloaded (US Letter or A4).
- Set scaling to:
- “Actual Size” or
- 100% scale
- Click Print.
Avoid using “Fit to Page” unless your printer margins require it.
Which paper should I use?
For best results:
- Standard printer paper (20 lb / 80gsm) works well for crayons and colored pencils.
- Slightly thicker paper (24 lb / 100gsm) is better for markers.
- Avoid very thin paper if using wet markers.
- If you are printing an A4 download, then use A4 paper, if you are printing a US letter download, use US letter sized paper.
How can I preview the image first?
On Crafty Josh:
- Tap the magnifying glass icon to preview the design.
- Tap the color palette icon to view the full-color version before printing.
This helps you decide which page to download and how you might color it.
Why does my print look too small?
Check the following:
- Make sure scaling is set to 100% or Actual Size.
- Confirm you downloaded the correct size (A4 vs US Letter).
- Turn off “Fit to Page” if it shrinks the image.
Why is part of the image cut off?
This usually happens when:
- The printer paper size does not match the PDF size.
- Scaling settings are incorrect.
Fix:
- Double-check paper size in your printer settings.
- Set scaling to 100% or Actual Size.
The lines look faint - How do I fix that?
- Make sure your printer is not in “Draft” mode.
- Check ink levels.
- Try selecting “High Quality” or “Best” in printer settings.
Can I print multiple copies?
Yes. Simply adjust the number of copies in your print settings before printing.
Can I print these files anywhere?
Yes. Download the correct size (A4 or US Letter) and bring the PDF file on a USB drive or email it to the printer location. Make sure scaling is set to 100%. Alternatively the printer may have some kind of air print mode to allow it to accept files over a network.
Still having problems?
If printing doesn’t look right:
- Re-download the PDF.
- Restart your printer.
- Try printing from a different device.
- Make sure you’re opening the file in a PDF reader (not just a browser preview).
